Like all checkrides, you have to know your stuff, but Mr. Doren is very relaxed, calm, and pleasant. He tells you at the very beginning what to expect, so there are no surprises or misunderstandings. During my flight portion, I made one (major in my mind) mistake, but Mr. Doren didn't fail me, instead he just offered a "suggestion" during my error to make corrective action. After the checkride he gave me some great pointers.
