I had the extreme good fortune of having my commercial multiengine checkride with DPE Modine. I had not taken a checkride in over 30 years, and was extremely nervous - particularly at the beginning of the oral discussion. Mr. Modine must have sensed the nervousness, and immediately put me at ease with his explanation of what we were going to be doing and what he expected. I wasn't perfect on the oral or the checkride, but I can honestly say that I didn't seriously mess anything up and I think that I proved to him that I knew my subject matter and that I was a safe pilot. I attribute my passing to the manner in which DPE Modine presents himself to you. He is cordial and friendly, yet businesslike and professional. I would recommend him to anyone needing a checkride.

Well, here I am a year (almost) later from my Commercial Multiengine check ride with DPE Modine, and I decided to take my MEI checkride with him. As I previously stated in my review a year ago, this man, in my opinion, is the consummate professional. And after taking the checkride with him on Dec 2, 2022, I will reiterate that opinion. Anyone needing a checkride should try to schedule it with this man. Be ready with your skills and knowledge, but above all, be safe. Professional and courteous are just two words that describe him. He puts nervous people, like me, at ease, and gets you thinking about the tasks at hand. The nervousness just seems to go to the background. I consider him a great DPE and an even better person.
